Black & White Hair Pin

We have a very special wedding coming up in March in San Diego. Andy's gaining a sister-in-law, and I've been so lucky to share in all the festivities and planning for my dear friends (who feel like family!) Jay and Holly. It's going to be so beautiful! The colors are black and white, with no shortage of glitz and detail. I had the privilege of working with Holly on her hair pin (in lieu of a veil), in which she wanted "Big." So big we went. 

Filled with ivory and white fabric petals, cream tulle that matches the train on her stunning dress, black and white feathers, and a pocket of vintage gems and pearls. The pin is secured with an alligator clip for easy positioning and confident stay put-age. Dance the night away!

Visions of Denver

A quick plane hop and some blizzard navigation took me to a much needed girls weekend in the lovely Denver, Colorado with the beautifuls Laura, Lindsey and Flora Jane. The city was magically dusted (ahem covered) in snow, with the streets and shops quiet from cars and the locals who were taking advantage of the recent dump on the ski mountains. In between shop perusing and fine cocktail hours we managed to sneak in a few business pow wows about Awaiting Alice, can't wait to share!

iii. Cocktails and Dinner at Linger, housed in a former mortuary- they hand out packs of tissue instead of matchboxes as you exit!

Jewels

Recent jewels packed up and shipped over to our friends at the Artisan Center in Denver. Loving the vintage brass chain we use, and having so much fun playing with the teeny tiny glass seed beads in all their colorful glory.

We are deep in the process of renovating our website and our shop, all new items, a new shopping place, and new site to drop by the end of March! So hold tight, we will have bounds of new jewel goodies to share with you then. Aaaand until then, you can still find us at our Etsy shop here!
